Good point about reviewing online courses before you promote them to protect your reputation. However, I would like to point out that the level of attention the course creator gives you (the endorser) and what they give to a random customer might be very different. There are so called marketing gurus out there who are extremely skilled at making false promises and not delivering on them. Once they have the endorsement of a few reputed marketers and some ‘lucky’ customers, they can easily get away with ripping other people off with hyped up money making guarantees. I have had a personal experience with this as a customer, but lets not mention names! The point is, when we are promoting someone, we need to do an in-depth due diligence. Only going through their course is not enough. It would be great if there was some kind of a course review site -something like tripadvisor. This is something that the industry really needs – something to make people accountable. A lot of people are losing faith in these online courses. I am staying away from promoting people unless I am very certain of their integrity.
Review : I found the course comprehensive and I learned a lot. I wish I found this course when I still owned my Brick and Mortar store, it would have made a big difference in increasing my traffic. I had people coming into my store years after I was open telling me they had no idea my store existed. I used social media but now I see I wasn’t utilizing the platforms to their true potential and that they were not fully optimized at all. I look forward to using what I learned in this course on my next adventure. Makes me excited to get going. Thanks Diego. – Shawn Vesper

I’ve learned so much with this course! KC Tan is an excellent instructor. He covers all the bases. Also, his facebook group and email list have both been a great value for me. I’ve made money using this method, and I’m hoping to start making even more by learning list building details in another of his courses that I just started. So glad I came across his courses. – Maya Brown
Report and try again — One important aspect of being an affiliate marketer is looking back at your successes and failures to determine where to go in the future. If a certain product didn’t do as well as you’d expected, make note on that so you can properly analyze what went wrong. Was it the way you advertised? The product itself? The times you posted? Current events, such as the recall of a similar product? Any number of these could play a role in the success of your sales, but you won’t know which unless you analyze the data you’ve collected over time.
Top of Mind outlines the approach used by John Hall to build Influence & Co into a dominant content marketing company. Hall shows how to use content to build an authentic and helpful brand that sticks in the minds of key decision-makers. The book includes tips on winning trust with digital marketing so that you become a first choice for your audience.
Plus, consumers are more likely to rely on a trusted source for brand information than they are an advertisement. In the current state of influencers and rampant review sites, we’re looking to real people’s opinions more than we are static advertisements or TV commercials. With your affiliates comes the trust of networks they’ve previously established.
ShareASale is another larger affiliate network that has more than 4000 merchants listed where a thousand of them are exclusive to ShareAsale. Additionally, the platform offers various features such as Average Commission, Reversal Rates, Average Sale Amount, and Earnings per Click. No programming skills are needed at all – If you don’t know anything about computer code, you’re in the right place. For those who are more advanced and want an expert level tutorial, this isn’t it. This guide on how to start an affiliate marketing blog is for the complete novice. I’ve created this guide to be the easiest, most straightforward, and easy-to-understand guide as I possibly could. It may encourage you to know that when I first started affiliate marketing, I knew nothing about how to build a website. In fact, I’m still not all that great with computer code and honestly I don’t care to learn it.
Why should you read this book? Derek Thomson, an Atlantic senior editor, discusses the hidden psychology of why we like what we like and talks about the economics of cultural markets that shape our lives. From why Facebook is the world’s most important modern newspaper, to why almost all Hollywood blockbusters are sequels, reboots, and adaptations, to how data scientists proved that “going viral” is a myth, the book tells fascinating stories of how culture happens and why things become popular.
I see more people in 2018 heading in the direction of being an online entrepreneur so they can be their own boss. The ones who are tired of working the 9-5 jobs, tired of sitting in traffic, people who want to create their own destiny, wives who want to help earn additional income to the household and those who want to be able to fullfil their dreams. Many will want to find how easy it will be, many will want to understand how they can do affiliate marketing... nothing techy.

Also, do some research on the opportunities in this market. What is the existing scene? Who is the competition? What data is available to tell you how lucrative this market is? The ease of selling will vary from market to market, as will the percentage of profits. Some companies may offer you a higher cut of the profit because their products are more difficult to sell. Determine what kind of selling experience you’d like to have, as well as the type of profits you’d like to see. Use those factors to inspire niche.
I'm happy to hear that there will be more training on e-commerce in 2018. It's one of the topics I was going to discuss with you in Feb in the Vegas conference. Last year I received a lot of questions from members that wanted to sell their own products. So I think having more e-commerce training will be welcomed and provide members additional ways to earn in addition to affiliate marketing which isn't going anywhere.

That being said, LinkConnector’s platform looks and feels outdated and is rather clumsily designed. Their dashboard also makes it difficult to find “hot” products or compare conversion rates, leaving affiliates somewhat in the dark about which products to choose. Ironically, despite their low-quality website, they offer some of the best customer service in the affiliate space.

Affiliate marketing helps publishers get rewarded for the role they play in shopping journeys. If a publisher adds an affiliate link to a merchant in their content, they’ll receive a commission for every sale driven to that merchant as a direct result of someone clicking on the affiliate link. Publishers can add as many affiliate links to an article as they like, but they will need to build each individual link manually which can be time consuming.
As mentioned merchants will pay publishers a certain commission when they’re directly responsible for driving a sale. So when you look for merchants to write about, or products you want to review, keep in mind what commission rate they pay. The better the rate, the more money you’ll make if you drive a sale. If you can combine a high commission rate with a product you believe in you’ll have struck gold.

1. EasyAzon flat-out didn’t work, and their customer service was the absolute worst. 2. Genius Links worked, but often the same products wouldn’t be available on other Amazon sites, and the link would redirect to another product or a search page full of irrelevant products… not ideal. Plus, I was getting more clicks, but not enough international conversions to justify the $9 a month [seriously guys, Amazon does not pay well haha]. Long story short: this is a complication to be wary of!
